How to export passwords from your browser

When online, you are probably logging in to various online accounts, at which point your browser asks you if you want to save these passwords. Some of us do it, and some of us are skeptical about doing so.

Having your browser save the password is not usually recommended due to privacy reasons. These passwords can be extracted pretty easily by various malicious programs. However, if you are using a good antivirus program and quality anti-malware software, there shouldn’t be much for you to worry about.

If you are someone who stores his or her passwords in the browsers, there is an easy way to extract them. This can be useful if you have forgotten passwords and you need to recover them. However, this is also a good reason to keep your personal computer password-protected, because just about anyone can use this technique in order to retrieve passwords from your browser if they have access to it.

You can use this software to extract passwords that you have saved in your web browser: http://securityxploded.com/browser-password-decryptor.php

After installing the program, click on Start Recovery and all of your passwords will be extracted.

Now click on Show passwords and you’ll be presented with a list of all of your passwords that were stored in all of the browsers that you use (Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox, etc). You can also export the list into HTML/XML/Text file if you want to store it and have it around for later reference.
