The Cometdocs API service is something that we have received many inquiries about over the last several years. And if you follow this blog regularly, then you know that we recently completely work on the API and invited our readers to help with the beta testing of the service.

Software developers can use this API to integrate our document conversion technology into their own applications.
Many web applications have the need to automate PDF conversions into other editable formats like Word, Text, Excel, and PowerPoint, or to create PDFs from such file formats. These just so happen to be the file conversion options that Cometdocs supports. The API also gives users access to our advanced OCR engine, which enables the conversion of scanned PDFs and image-based data for no extra cost. It’s easy to see, then, how our API service could be a convenient and helpful tool for developers to integrate into their own products.
As far as pricing is concerned, the API service has an initial monthly price of $9.99 plus conversion fees. The conversion fees run on a credit system, with one credit equaling one cent. The price of your conversion will depend on the size of your file and the conversion type you need. For example, our highest priced conversion is PDF to XLS, which costs five credits (five cents). Most conversions will cost only one credit, however. If your conversion fails for some reason, you will not be charged for it. Go to this page to see a detailed pricing table.
