Step 2:

Head over to the menu bar, select “Format”, then click on “Paragraph” and a new menu will pop up.

Step 3:

Under the Spacing part for the Line spacing choose “Double” from the drop-down menu.

Pro Tip: You can also access the Paragraph menu by right-clicking on the selected text and choosing “Paragraph”.

How to Double Space in Word From the Toolbar

As we said earlier, the easiest and fastest way to double space in Word is from the toolbar.

Step 1:

Open the existing document or create a new one in Microsoft Word and highlight the text you want to double space. 

Step 2:

Head over to the toolbar and click on the “Line spacing” icon.

Step 3:

A drop-down menu will appear from which you need to select “2.0” which basically represents a double line spacing.

How to Double Space the Whole Document in Word

There is also a way to double space the whole document for the people who need this feature.

Step 1:

Head over to the toolbar and select the “Design” tab.
