PDF file is probably the best type of file to view on a mobile device. Whether you need to read a large ebook or to view business documents, PDF file is the easiest to handle. You don’t need to worry about content changes and whether the text and images will be seen differently on your iPhone or iPad. Even if you have a document in a different file format, you should convert it to PDF if you want to view it or work with it on a mobile device.

PDF files can be opened in any PDF reader or in iBooks. If you receive them by email or you download them directly on your phone, you can easily view PDFs. But if the PDF file you need is stored on your computer or somewhere else, here’s what you need to do:

  1. To access iBooks for PC, sign in to your iTunes account directly on a computer. 
  2. Drag the PDF file and drop it in the Books section.
  3. Plug in the iPhone cable into computer.
  4. Open Books section on the phone and check the box Sync all books.
  5. Lastly, click the Apply button and your PDF file will be synced to your phone.

 

Import a PDF file via iCloud

 

First, make sure you have iCloud Drive application installed on your iphone. Then visit iCloud official website from your computer and log in to your account.

 

Click on the cloud icon to upload the PDF file you find in your computer. In this way you will add a PDF file to your iCloud. Now head to your phone to check iCloud Drive. If the PDF file is not there, restart the phone.

 

Import a PDF file via Email

Another way to import a PDF document is to send it to your email account that is linked to your phone. When you send a file, check your inbox from the phone and choose the Open in option. Depending on the apps you have installed on your phone, you can view PDF file in any reader or app for storing PDFs.
